Two classic cedar strip boats for sale! These boats are directly from a private cabin on the lake that we purchased back in 2004, and were never used in our rental fleet. The first is a 75th anniversary edition 1954 Peterborough Lakeside, 16 foot runabout. It’s in original condition with factory stickers and has been stored inside for it’s entire life.
The second boat, and certainly the rarer of the two, is a 1962 Reg Harran 15 foot runabout. This boat was made by Reg Harran who worked for Peterborough Boat Company until they went belly up in 1961. Reg started his own boat company after Peterborough went out of business and made a few of these wonderfully made runabouts. Mr Jack Moore who used to own the Patterson Bay cabin on our lake purchased both of theses boats new. They were stored in his boat house which is still on site at the Patterson Bay cabin. The Harran is one of only two known to exist at this time.
Both boats are now in Sault Ste Marie, Michigan, stored inside and are for sale to interested buyers. Â For more details contact us at: info@lochisland.com
