Are you looking for a boat that will turn heads everywhere you go? We have two unique cedar strip boats for sale.
These boats are from a private cabin on Wabatongushi Lake, once owned by Mr. Jack Moore, that we purchased back in 2004. They were never used in our rental fleet and are stored indoors.
The first is a 75th Anniversary Edition 1954 Peterborough Lakeside 16′ runabout. It’s in original condition with factory stickers and has been stored indoors for its entire life.  Completely original with factory stickers. Stored inside her entire life. At some point, filler has been applied in certain areas. No rot, solid throughout. Stored indoors.
The second boat, and certainly the rarer of the two, is a 1962 Reg Harran 15 foot runabout. This boat was made by Reg Harran, who worked for Peterborough Boat Company until they closed in 1961. Reg started his own boat company after Peterborough went out of business and made a few of these wonderfully crafted runabouts. Jack Moore purchased both of these boats new. They were stored in his boathouse which is still standing beside the Patterson Bay cabin. The Harran is one of only two known to exist at this time. Original boat, no rebuild. Solid with no rot, stored indoors for the last 56 years.
Both boats are in Sault Ste Marie, Michigan, and are for sale to interested buyers. Â For more details contact us at: info@lochisland.com
